Budesonide/Formoterol Rapihaler - Side Effects, Precautions, and Contraindications

What side effects can Budesonide/Formoterol Rapihaler cause?

Common side-effects include:
  • Mild irritation in the throat, hoarseness
  • Increase risk of fungal infections in the throat
    • Rinsing your mouth and spit out the water after using the inhaler to reduce risk of infections
  • Palpitations, headache, tremor
These side effects may or may not occur, but if they do, they should improve over time. Please approach your healthcare provider if the symptoms are bothersome or do not show improvement after a period of time.

Rare but serious side effects include:

The symptoms of a drug allergy include one or more of the following:
  • Swollen face/eyes/lips/tongue
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Itchy skin rashes over your whole body
