Dr Vigil James is a Senior Staff Registrar Paediatric in Children’s Emergency, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. Dr James earned his Medical degree and MD in Paediatrics from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He has also completed MRCPCH from UK and has done Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Emergency Medicine from The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.
His research and education initiatives focus on appropriate use of Point of Care Ultrasound in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. He also conducts clinical research on injury prevention in children. He serves on multiple committees including Emergency Planning and Disaster Preparedness, Advanced Paediatric Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support. Dr James has taught medical students, graduate medical trainees, and conducted continuing medical education courses for the past 10 years.
