Profile

Dr Ti Seng Ei trained as a Cornea surgeon at Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), and completed further training and research on ocular surface disease and amniotic membrane transplantation at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, USA.  In 2015, she completed an observership at University of Antwerp, Belgium (Prof. M. Tassignon), for improved understanding on intraocular lens implant centration, technique of lens exchange, quality of vision measurements and cornea surgery. 
 
Dr Ti’s current clinical interests revolves around complex cataract techniques, cornea transplantation and ocular surface disease.   Her international publications include work on femtosecond laser cataract surgery, surgical techniques, cornea transplantation outcomes and ocular surface disease.
 
Dr Ti has been actively involved in teaching, at both local, regional and international training courses. Since 2012, as one of the pioneer users of femtosecond laser for cataract surgery (FLACS) in SNEC, she has been part of the SNEC teaching faculty for FLACS for other SNEC doctors.  On the regional front, she is an invited speaker at the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) meetings and trained attendee doctors from Southeast Asia during the SNEC Intermediate and Advanced Cataract Teaching Courses. For international meetings, she has been a regular cataract course instructor at the annual meeting of American Society Cataract Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS) and also taught at several instruction courses at the European Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) meetings.
