Profile

Clinical Associate Professor Lee is the Head of the Surgical Retina Department at the Singapore National Eye Centre and she graduated from the NUS in 1996 and obtained her post-graduate degrees for Ophthalmology in 2004 (FAMS and FRCSEd (Ophth)). She completed a 2-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the SNEC and spent a stint with Prof Ian Constable and Prof Ian MacAllister at the Lions Eye Institute, Western Australia.

Clinical Associate Professor Lee has been active in teaching and was appointed Adjunct Associate Professor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in 2008. She has also been teaching the undergraduate medical students with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and is a clinical lecturer. She is also currently the President of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology.

Clinical Associate Professor Lee’s research interests are in retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinal complications of myopia, gene therapy for retinal disorders. She is an avid tennis player and is a member of the tennis team for the Singapore Medical Association as well as for the Ministry of Health.
