Profile

Dr Jacqueline Chua is a Clinician Scientist at Singapore Eye Research Institute and a practicing Optometrist at the Singapore National Eye Centre at a primary eye care setting. Dr Chua graduated with a Bachelor of Optometry from the University of Melbourne and a PhD from the University of Auckland. Upon completion of her doctorate, she undertook a five-year stint in optometric academia. She has also attained a clinical fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry. She was recently awarded the Transition Award, an early career talent development fund for clinician scientists to improve the detection of glaucoma using new imaging technology.
