An advocate for technological advancements in orthopaedic surgery, A/Prof Goh is highly proficient in computer navigation-assisted pelvic trauma surgery, total knee replacements, and hip replacements, having trained in these techniques since the mid-2000s. Since 2015, he has also incorporated robotic-assisted surgery into hip and knee procedures, utilizing Robodoc, Makoplasty, and Navio systems, after undergoing specialized training in South Korea and the United States. While working in London, he trained in the Oxford Partial Knee System and later became the first surgeon in Singapore to introduce this knee replacement technique in 2014.

He frequently serves as an examiner for local university medical programs and sits on committees for the NUS Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh examinations, assessing surgeons undergoing orthopaedic specialist training.

As a faculty member of the SingHealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program, A/Prof Goh mentors and trains future orthopaedic surgeons. He also leads and participates in various local and regional surgical training courses, serving as course chairman or faculty in trauma/fracture management, hip and knee replacements, and the Oxford Partial Knee Replacement system.

A/Prof Goh obtained his medical degree from the University of Cambridge, England, in 2000. He completed his orthopaedic specialist training and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008.
