Dr Cheng Chee Leong obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2000. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) and the Royal College of Pathologists, United Kingdom (FRCPath) in 2008.
With a special interest in haematolymphoid pathology and healthcare informatics, Chee Leong subsequently obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Informatics from the University of Edinburgh, UK in 2012, an MSc in Molecular Pathology and Genomics from the Queen Mary University of London, UK in 2014, and an MSc in Bioinformatics from John Hopkins University, USA in 2019.
Since joining SingHealth as a Consultant in August 2014, Dr Cheng has been heavily involved in the expansion of SGH digital pathology implementation, leveraging on his prior expertise and experience. He currently serves as the Lead of the SGH Computational and Digital Pathology Unit, and the Lead of the Cluster Laboratory Information System (LIS) Harmonization Steering Committee, SingHealth. He also holds appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School.
