Ms Kirk has been actively involved in research since 2015, focusing on paediatric critical care. Within this area, she has been both a lead and contributing author for several publications. She continues to participate passionately in research while practicing as an Advanced Practice Nurse within the Children’s Intensive Care Unit at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH).
Ms Kirk began her studies at Nanyang Polytechnic, receiving three awards, including a gold medal, upon graduation. She was awarded a scholarship to further her studies in Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Sydney, obtaining the Sydney Nursing School Academic Merit Award after completing the course. A few years later, she pursued a specialisation in paediatrics through an advanced diploma at Nanyang Polytechnic, receiving an award for excellent performance. She was the top graduating student for all three qualifications.
Recently, she also received her master’s degree from the National University of Singapore in 2019, specialising in Paediatrics, and continues her clinical work at KKH.
