Refraction at Optical Shop Partners after Cataract Surgery

Dear Sir/Madam, 

We are pleased to inform you that your cataract surgery has been successful. Please put your eye drops as instructed. 

You will need to:

• Make an appointment to see an optometrist in about 6 to 8 weeks’ time from the date of eye operation. Inform the Optometry Practice that “You are being referred from SNEC and had done your Cataract Surgery”.·        
• Please refer to page 3 for a list of all participating optometry practices.
• Please bring this Information Sheet to your Optical Shop Appointment.
• Please ensure that you have the SingPass app downloaded and ready for use (refer overleaf for download instructions). 

The optometrist will check your vision and eye pressure. He/she will ask you some questions relating to your post-surgery recovery. Please note that a service fee of $18.00 is payable for this consultation. Payment can be made directly to the optometry practice during your visit. However, if you are advised for spectacles and you wish to have them made, additional spectacle charges will apply. 

Should the optometrist determine that you require follow-up at SNEC, an SMS will be sent to you from SNEC to confirm your appointment date and time. Otherwise, no follow up at SNEC is necessary. If you have any concerns, please discuss with your optometrist. 

If, however, you have existing eye appointments at SNEC (not related to your cataract operation), please attend these as usual.
