The Humanized NOG mice for ImmunoTherapy (HuNIT) platform from Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), A*STAR, will be organizing their 4th symposium this year virtually with an exciting line-up of speakers from Singapore, Japan, Sweden, France and Germany!
Title: Functional Advances in the Human Immune System in Humanized Mice
Moderator: Dr Amit Singhal, Principal investigator, SIgN, A*STAR
Synopsis
A functionally robust human immune system in humanized mouse models is required to understand the complexity and heterogeneity of human disease. The humanized mouse models in the HuNIT platform enable scientists to understand how human immune cells develop under the influence of key cytokines, interact in tissues under homeostasis and respond to foreign insult.
This virtual symposium will bring together a renowned panel of scientists to share their recent work on studying the innate and adaptive human immune function in humanized mouse models. Scientific aims include open discourse on the potential use of humanized mouse models for (i) the study of human diseases including cancer, autoimmunity and infection as well as (ii) a robust preclinical platform for the assessment of immunotherapeutics in such diseases.
