Course Summary

The SNEC MIGS Masterclass 2026 provides ophthalmologists with practical training in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, including iStent, Hydrus, and PreserFlo. The programme combines focused lectures, case discussions, and structured wetlab sessions with close faculty supervision. Participants will discuss patient selection, surgical techniques, and complication management, with opportunities to review different MIGS approaches in an open academic setting. The course aims to support participants in developing greater confidence in incorporating MIGS into their clinical practice.

Course Objectives

Participants will be able to:

• Understand the devices, surgical techniques, and expected outcomes of iStent, Hydrus, and PreserFlo procedures.
• Assess patient suitability for iStent, Hydrus, and PreserFlo, including conducting pre-operative evaluation and counselling.
• Recognise and discuss the management of intraoperative and postoperative complications associated with iStent, Hydrus, and PreserFlo procedures.
• Practise the surgical steps of iStent, Hydrus, and PreserFlo procedures through supervised wetlab training using appropriate instruments and techniques.
