All visitors, patients and their accompanying persons are required to undergo temperature screening and complete a declaration form before entry to SNEC.

Each patient is allowed 1 accompanying person.

Pregnant women and children (under 12 years old) are discouraged from accompanying patients for appointments.

Patients who meet these criteria or have the following symptoms are advised to reschedule their appointments and seek medical attention at their family doctors or GPs:

  • Have flu-like symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, etc,.)
  • Have, in the past 14 days, returned from
    • China
    • Daegu City or Cheongdo County, South Korea
  • Have, in the past 14 days, come in close contact with someone who:
    • is a confirmed COVID-19 case; or
    • is part of a COVID-19 cluster; or
    • had been in:
      • China
      • Daegu City or Cheongdo County, South Korea

If you are coming for your appointment, please note that you may be assigned to a different doctor. This is for the safety of our patients and staff. Please be assured that you will be given the same standard of quality care at SNEC.

Under the Infectious Disease Act, anyone making false declarations can be prosecuted.

Please adopt the following precautions at all times:

  • Avoid contact with live animals including poultry and birds, and consumption of raw and undercooked meats;

  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness;

  • Observe good personal hygiene;

  • Practise frequent hand washing with soap (e.g., before handling food or eating, after going to toilet, or when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing);

  • Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or runny nose;

  • Cover your mouth with a tissue paper when coughing or sneezing, and dispose the soiled tissue paper in the rubbish bin immediately and

  • Seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell.

Alternative parking is available at Outram Community Hospital (OCH) / SingHealth Tower and the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS).
