You are invited to the below seminar by Dr Anthony Flamier, Assistant Professor, University of Montreal, Department of Neurosciences, CHU Sainte-Justine.
Title: Bridging Genetic Perturbations to Neurological Disorders: Insights from Stem Cell Models
Abstract:
Neurological disorders impose a significant global health burden. We use human pluripotent stem cell and CRISPR/Cas technologies to model brain development in vitro, aiming to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. Focusing on Rett syndrome, developmental epileptic encephalopathies, and condensate formation in Alzheimer’s disease, we seek to link early genetic disruptions to clinical manifestations.
