The RIE2025 Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity (MTC) domain aims to leverage R&D to strengthen Singapore’s positioning as a global business and innovation hub for advanced manufacturing and connectivity. Various funding initiatives (FIs) have been set up to encourage public researchers to conduct R&D and create intellectual property that can contribute towards this aim, namely:
• MTC Individual Research Grant (IRG)/ Young Investigator Research Grant (YIRG)
• MTC Programmatic Funds
• MTC Industry Alignment Fund Pre-Positioning Programme (IAF-PP)
A*STAR, through Office of Grants Administration (OGA), is the implementing agency (IA) for the above FIs. To raise awareness about these FIs among the ecosystem and to encourage more grant applications, OGA is organising MTC Day 2023 on 15 September 2023, at NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House which will feature research projects funded by the RIE2025 MTC FIs.
