Local Researchers Working on Rapid Diagnostic Test

​Researchers from NCID, hospitals, A*STAR, NUS and Duke-NUS are working to develop accurate and reliable diagnostic tests for Covid-19 that can be potentially be used at GP clinics.  The current standard test is the polymerase chain reaction test, which detects the genetic material of the virus in patient specimens is done mostly at hospitals. For GPs, the ideal test needs to be accurate and fast without the need for special equipment.
