The LADARVision® 4000 Excimer Laser System was introduced in 2002 and since then, SNEC has been able to treat even more patients with very high myopia as well as those with very thin corneas. These patients would otherwise have been untreatable with other laser systems. Unlike conventional systems, the LADARVision® laser allows for minimal corneal tissue removal, an important factor in treating high myopes. By removing less corneal tissue, night vision problems like halos and glares which can occur after LASIK may be reduced. In addition, the LADARVision® 4000 Excimer Laser System has a high speed tracking device that is able to track and compensate for patients’ involuntary eye movements during the procedure, resulting in even better outcomes. This feature also gives patients the added assurance that their visual result will not be affected by any excessive involuntary eye movements.
You will need to discuss with your ophthalmologist the most appropriate method to correct your refractive error.
