CLINICAL SERVICES - CATARACT & COMPREHENSIVE OPHTHALMOLOGY

AUDIT AND RESEARCH

At SNEC, 100% of our cataract operations are recorded. Results of our cataract surgeries are audited annually. Visual success and endophthalmitis rates, the two most important parameters in cataract operations, are diligently tracked and studied year after year, with the aim of continuous improvement of our already excellent results.

Our doctors and nurses are constantly engaged in projects to objectively assess the results of new intraocular lenses, machines, instruments, techniques and practices. Many of these have led to publications in peer-reviewed, scientific journals.

Our audits and research aim to ensure safety and good results for our patients, as well as to promote a high standard of quality in the ophthalmology community.
